ABOUT RYU SHU KAN KARATE: WAY OF LIFE

In ancient Okinawa, Karate was more than a hobby or spare time activity. It touched the very essence of the people who studied it, changing the way they thought & felt about themselves and the way they interacted with other people.

Etiquette, Character Development and Philosophy

Kyoshi Gerard Senese teaches that Karate has more than one meaning. The translation of Karate “Empty Hand” can refer to weaponless self-defense, but it also means an open hand offered to help others. Kyoshi Senese has been teaching since 1980 and has helped over 2 generations of Long Islanders improve their lives.
